Relaxation; This is something that everyone needs a healthy balance of. There are two main ways of relaxing. Moving relaxation; which is like yoga or go for a walk or a light workout, and stagnant relaxation; a relaxing motion which is actually not moving a whole lot..
Moving Relaxation
As I mentioned briefly last week, I do yoga every morning. I chose a routine that stretches all the muscles that I use everyday, I actually found a routine focused on fibromyalgia back pain. I’ll go ahead and attach it to the bottom of this for those of you that are interested.
Anyway, my muscles get so sore that I use yoga to relax them before I start my days. It’s super important that you make sure you’re muscles are moving (if you can’t move a whole lot, start small, maybe a walk?) to an extent that helps your muscles hurt less and help get through the day, don’t do much more than that or you will become super sore, take it from me.
Stagnant Relaxation
I’m pretty sure I just made this term up but it works very well for this situation, haha. But moving relaxation is very important, right? Well stagnant relaxation is just as important. I usually do this after I’ve decided everything in my day in completed, there’s a few steps to this;
- Do some breathing exercises
- Maybe put on some mediation music and read
- Watch a calmer movie or TV show if you don’t read
- I use a heat pad on my sore muscles during this time
Yes I know, sometimes you may feel lazy or people may assume that you’re lazy but bodies infected with Fibromyalgia need to rest. Some people need a little more rest than others but that is because we are all on our own journeys through our lives, we are here to help each other through similar paths that we may have already been down, but no two people are in the same exact place on their journey.

Oh and here is my yoga routine! I hope that if you try it, it helps you just as much as it did me. You all have a beautiful week now!
